After 34 years of loyal service, Hendrick is regrettably announcing the retirement of John “Jack” Altmeyer. As of September 30, 2011, Jack has hung up his briefcase to enjoy retirement while spending more time with his wife, Ann, and their eight grandchildren. This will mark the first time since 1977 that Jack will not be representing Hendrick as a Regional Sales Representative in the territories of New York and Canada. Jack originally began Altmeyer & Company in 1974, selling raw materials to various manufacturers in New York, Pennsylvania, and Southern Ontario. Prior to beginning his own company, Jack worked as the Regional Sales Manager for Alan Wood Steel Company for 16 years. Additionally, Jack is an alumnus of Harvard University, where he received his degree in Economics. In Jack’s spare time, he has notably served as an Alpine Course Referee at the 1980 Lake Placid Olympics, and has served on the Town Board of Cazenovia for 11 years. On behalf of Hendrick, congratulations to Jack on his richly deserved retirement!
