Hendrick Appoints Tom Mosca as Vice President of Manufacturing
CEO, Mike Drake announced the appointment of Tom Mosca of Huntingdon Valley, PA as the new Vice President of Manufacturing for Hendrick Manufacturing (Carbondale,PA) and Hendrick Metal Products(Elgin IL.)
Tom a graduate of Temple University in Mechanical Engineering, is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at McColl Graduate School of Business and has an extensive knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Techniques, and holds a Six-Sigma Black Belt, Kaizen Certification among other certifications.Tom has over 30 years’ experience in Manufacturing. His previous companies include: Garlock Bearings, Inc. France Compressor Products and GGB Bearing Technology. His last position as Executive Vice President and COO was at Sancoa International, Lumberton NJ. Tom and his wife have 3 grown children and will be moving to the area soon.
Hendrick Manufacturing announced that Kathy Saslo will be changing roles at Hendrick. Starting October 1st, Kathy will be an inside sales representative for our Midwest territories. Kathy will be working with our Midwest Reps—Barco Sales, and will be focusing on new business development.
We are pleased to announce Jonathan Watt has accepted the position of Plant Manager and Walter Remley as Customer Service Representative for Hendrick.

Michael Drake, CEO, Hendrick Manufacturing announces a reorganization. Effective January 1, 2013, Due to the substantial similarities of business lines of Hendrick Manufacturing – Carbondale, PA and Hendrick Metal Products – Elgin, IL, Management will be consolidated to manage both facilities.
Tony Rovinski is appointed Director of Manufacturing for Hendrick – Carbondale and Elgin and Bruce Caldwell is appointed Director of Sales and Marketing – Carbondale and Elgin.
Hendrick Manufacturing has got their “eye on you” when it comes to safety. In July two new programs were officially rolled out – Safety Bucks and Near Miss. Employees can now earn safety bucks when they actively participate in the safety program. Safety Bucks can be cashed in for various prizes such as company shirts, hats and jackets. The Near Miss program allows employees to report incidents that could have resulted in accidents. This is an accident prevention program.

Hendrick Manufacturing’s latest Lean Event focused on one of our Hydraulic Stamping Press. Our Team made significant headway in reducing set-up time by 72%. This lean focus has organized and used a color coding system to make this machine user friendly, so anyone can set-up this Press Brake. Because of this focus productivity has increased significantly! Thank you to our Lean Team: Dave Molosky, Lou Petz, Tom Barrows, Karl Swingle and Aaron Magnot!
