Job Description:
This position serves as the technical sales liaison for colleagues within various departments, as well as with external customers. This individual is responsible for establishing and maintaining the highest possible commercial relations with present and potential customers by effectively employing the highest level of skill with regard to the art of salesmanship, product knowledge, and knowledge of Hendrick Manufacturing Company product lines. To qualify as a Product Development Estimator/Draftsperson an individual must be able to perform all of the following:
• Read and interpret architectural blueprints thoroughly and create Autocad takeoffs in order to create quotations.
• Communicate with Architects to facilitate the design process from conceptual drawings to actual products. Manage and interpret customer requirements by listening to clients and using astute questioning to understand, anticipate, and exceed customer requirements.
• Work with Engineering to assist in producing the design of finished products in accordance with architectural plans.
• Proactively facilitate timely solutions to customer issues by utilizing the available resources or creating procedures for resolution.
• Successfully lead and coordinate projects, while interacting with Customer Service, Engineering and Sales from start to finish with minimal supervision.
• Perform all other duties and assignments as required including those when reassigned or transferred and regardless of whether duties are related to his/her normal duties
Work is performed in a well-lit, well-ventilated, clean manufacturing and office environment. Work may be performed in other environments to obtain corporate objectives. Occasional travel will be required by air, train, car and/or rail.

Job Requirements:
- An Associate’s Degree within Design/Drafting or a related field, or considerable prior transferable experience. A prior background in Drafting/Architectural Design is a must have.
- Requires mathematical computation skills
- Requires strong computer skills
- Requires strong interpersonal communication skills to communicate at multiple organizational levels
- Requires strong telephone communication skills
- Possess the ability to interpret blueprints and create AutoCad takeoffs
- Possess the ability to operate Windows based software, as well as posseing a “hands on” knowledge of CAD/CAM
- Working knowledge of general office procedures
- Should possess 1-3 years working experience
- Demonstrated successful professional development within proven accomplishments, whether through academic or professional accomplishments
- Position requires individual to work independently and/or with limited supervision
- Individual exercises decision making policy within policy guidelines
- Ability to travel as needed for business purposes
- Sitting for extended periods of time
- Stooping, bending, stretching, walking, as necessary
- Appropriate business attire
