Job Description:
Hendrick Manufacturing Company is looking for a Plant Manager for our Carbondale, PA location!
The primary responsibilities of this position are as follows:
1. Provide the leadership vision necessary to motivate direct reports to achieve and excel beyond the set goals for production efficiency and quality.
2. Possess the financial understanding of profit and loss statements in order to successfully manage and control cost expenditures.
3. Confer and coordinate with department heads in order to process customer orders in the most efficient manner with the customer focus in mind.
4. Actively participate in long-range strategic plans of the organization.
5. Establish and direct plant policies and procedures.
6. Select, train, and develop plant supervisory staff.
7. Promote an environment of open, progressive communication in order to foster open communication and continuous improvement.
8. Maintain and promote a safe working environment for all.
9. Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing and its principles, implementation and continuation.
10. This position reports directly to the General Manager
Supervision:
• This position requires the successful individual to work independently with a high degree of decision making authority.
• The individual will have the responsibility of managing 3-5 other managers/supervisors.
Physical Demands:
• Requires ability to lift 60 pounds unassisted; 80 pounds assisted.
• Must be able sit/stand/bend/stretch as necessary for extended periods of time within the designated shift schedule.
• Requires good eye-hand coordination and attention to detail.
Safety Equipment:
• Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Steel Toe Boots, Gloves as Required, etc.
Working Conditions:
• Work is performed in a well lighted, ventilated, clean manufacturing environment.
Job Requirements:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent. A college degree is preferred or equivalent working experience within a progressive manufacturing environment.
- Proven history of successful goal setting, achievement, and employee engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) and the ability to motivate while leading a diverse work force to achieve maximized results.
- Demonstrated knowledge of lean manufacturing and its principles.
- Requires strong mathematical computation skills.
- Requires the ability to operate Microsoft applications (i.e. – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards.
- Requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
