Maintenance Specialist

The individual who functions in this position must carry out all of the functions associated with being a Maintenance Specialist after a sufficient period of training by an experienced Hendrick Maintenance Specialist:
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain all plant equipment and facilities of both a mechanical and basic electrical nature.
- Perform normal maintenance, mechanical and electrical craft-type duties.
- Diagnose and remedy electrical trouble
- Layout, install and maintain a wide variety of complex electrical equipment such as automatic controls, etc
- Layout, fit and assemble parts when necessary.
- Must provide own hand tools sufficient to carry out assigned duties.
- Set up and operate all maintenance equipment.
- Set up and operate all type of metal shaping machines such as lathes, grinders, milling machines, planers, etc. with minimal assistance.
- Operate personal computer, programmable controls relative to production equipment.
- Perform all other duties and assignments as required including those when required upon reassignment or transfer and regardless of whether the duties assigned are included within or related to his/her normal duties.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equlavent
- Vocational or Technical training in electrical, mechanical, or machining trade or equivalent experience
- Two years experience as industrial maintenance mechanic and/or experience operating a variety of machines in a manufacturing environment
- Requires ability to layout job from blue prints or sketches
- Requires ability to read a ruler, set calipers, read blue prints and micrometer
- Requires ability to operate forklift, powered transport and material handling equipment
